A: PYH users are encouraged to make their own custom power hours that can be used by all registered members. However, if you aren’t quite ready to dive into the composition of your own masterpiece, there is a library of power hours that have been created by your peers. Help grow this library by making your own!!
Q: What are the videos on the left?
A: These videos give you access to YouTube’s vast library. Search YouTube and add videos to your playlist. Double-click a video to play it. NOTE: Some videos are blocked by the content creators on YouTube. Make sure the song you choose works on PowerYourHour.com.
Q: I want to make my own power hour. What’s the easiest way?
A: Sign up for FREE! Then, log in and begin adding songs from the search results on the left. When you have finished adding songs, click “Save.” Once you save your list, it will show up under the "My Playlists" tab.
Q: What is Genre used for?
A: The genre represents the majority of the songs in your list. For example, if 75% of your videos are country music, select “Country.” If you have a wide variety, choose “All.”
Q: What does it mean to make my playlist public?
A: Setting your playlist to public will make it accessible by all registered users. This will help grow the library and make watching power hours quicker, rather than having to make a different one each time.
Q: Why would I want to keep my power hour private?
A: The best reason to keep your power hour private is if you have started to work on your list, but aren’t quite finished. This way, you can edit and customize your list without worrying about others watching an unfinished power hour. For general purposes, we wanted to give users the ability to decide for themselves whether or not they want to share their creation.
Q: Why does the volume fluctuate between videos?
A: Since PowerYourHour.com uses YouTube for its media, we have no control over the difference in volume levels from video to video.
Q: Why does it take a few seconds for the next video to load?
A: PowerYourHour.com is powered by YouTube. It is recommended that users have a broadband connection with a minimum download rate of 1.5 Mbps. Just like watching videos directly from YouTube, videos take time to buffer. We are working on minimizing the time between videos. In the mean time, letting the playlist run through a couple times will help decrease time between videos!
